A
"wee Hello" from Adams & Butler in
Scotland...
This
month we are delighted to introduce our new
website at www.adamsandbutler.com which will
incorporate more and more of our Scottish and
English product. Ireland and Scotland have so much
in common - castles, lakes, golf, whiskey,
wild rugged countryside and seascapes - not
forgetting good
food!
So...
the Adams & Butler team closed the office,
diverted the phones and spent a 4
day-long weekend exploring all that Scotland has
to offer. We inspected almost 40 properites,
all the favourites such as Gleneagles, Inverlochy
Castle and its sister property Rocpool
Reserve, as well as the new hip
Blytheswood Square and the magical
Aldourie Castle. We
discovered some affordable hidden gems
along the way - Duisdale & Toravaig on the
Isle of Skye, and Barcaldine in Oban.
Last
week Siobhan had the pleasure of being invited by
the owners of Ballyfin, a stunning 18th
Century Irish Country Estate only 90 mins
from Dublin for a pre-opening stay. The food
was magnificient, the beds sumptuous and the
setting elegantly sublime. The house has
long been admired as the most lavish Regency
mansion in Ireland, and after eight years of
restoration Ballyfin re-opens in May
2011. With only 15 bedrooms it is perfect
for both overnight stays and exclusive
rentals. |
